New York Islanders Sign Julien Gauthier & 2 Others

The New York Islanders have added to their depth, signing Julien Gauthier, Karson Kuhlman, and Brian Pinho.

Gauthier's contract is a two-year, $1.575 million deal. The 2016 first-round pick appeared in 57 games this past season split between the New York Rangers and Ottawa Senators, scoring nine goals and posting 14 points. He will be pushing for a spot in the Islanders' bottom six next season.

Kuhlman's contract is a one-year, two-way deal. The 27-year-old winger has served as a decent depth forward over the last few seasons, and he will likely continue to do as an Islander. In 47 games last season split between the Seattle Kraken and Winnipeg Jets, he had three goals and seven points.

Brian Pinho's contract is also a two-way deal for the season. The 28-year-old spent all of last season with the Utica Comets, where he had 10 goals and 18 assists. He will likely be in the AHL for the start of the season.

Nevertheless, the Islanders have added three depth forwards with these moves. Let's see how they perform for the organization from here.
