Max Comtois Officially Lands PTO

After plenty of speculation, the Vegas Golden Knights have officially signed forward Max Comtois to a professional tryout (PTO) contract.

Comtois, 24, appeared in 64 games this past season with the Anaheim Ducks, where he had nine goals, 10 assists, and a minus-20 rating. Overall, it was another down year for the winger, and the Ducks opted not to send him a qualifying offer this offseason. After not finding a home all summer, Comtois will now look to earn a deal with the Golden Knights by impressing at training camp.

There is no harm in the Golden Knights taking a look at Comtois. Keep in mind, he is a younger forward who led the Ducks in points back in 2020-21. Perhaps joining a strong team like the Golden Knights could help him get back on track. However, he will first need to successfully get a contract with them by having a strong camp.
