Blackhawks Rumors: Jason Dickinson Becoming Trade Candidate

Even with the addition of Connor Bedard, the Chicago Blackhawks are expected to be near the bottom of the NHL standings this season. They are still very much rebuilding and still have more work to do to become competitive. Due to this, one player with an expiring deal who should be dealt this season is Jason Dickinson.

Dickinson took a step forward last season with the Blackhawks after being traded by the Vancouver Canucks. In 78 games, he had nine goals to go along with a career-high 30 points. After a season like this, it is quite likely that a team looking to add to their bottom six would consider adding him. This is especially so if salary is retained.

Dickinson has been off to a bit of a slow start this season, posting just two points in seven games. However, with his role on Chicago being pretty big, don't be surprised if his play picks up as the year rolls on.
