Kraken Rumors: Justin Schultz Becoming Trade Candidate

After a very poor start, the Seattle Kraken are already looking like potential sellers this season. If they cannot turn things around quickly, one player who could become available later on in the season is defenseman Justin Schultz.

Schultz is currently in the final season of his contract and would be an appealing rental for a playoff team looking to improve the right side of their defense and add some offensive firepower to it. Schultz is coming off a 34-point season and makes for a quality defenseman to have on the power play.

Schultz has a 10-team no-trade list, so the Kraken would not have too much trouble finding him a new home if he is officially shopped. There would be several teams interested in him, too, and that is especially so if the Kraken retain salary.

We will need to wait and see if Schultz ends up getting moved during this season from here.
