NHL Rumors: 2 Possible Free-Agent Destinations for Nick Ritchie

After being released from his professional tryout (PTO) contract with the St. Louis Blues, Nick Ritchie remains a free agent. Yet, when noting that he can provide decent offense and plenty of physicality in a bottom-six role, we should not rule out the idea of him being scooped by a team this campaign. Thus, let's dive into two possible landing spots for the winger.

Columbus Blue Jackets: The Columbus Blue Jackets could certainly use a boost in their bottom six. Bringing in a player like Ritchie has the potential to improve their fourth line. With that, he also could make sense on their second power-play unit because of his effective net-front presence ability.

San Jose Sharks: The San Jose Sharks have some cap space to work with and could be open to the prospect of adding to their roster because of it. Ritchie would be an intriguing addition to their bottom six. With that, he showed with the Arizona Coyotes that he can find success on rebuilding teams, so perhaps this could be a good match between the player and the team.
