NHL Rumors: 2 Possible Landing Spots for Phil Kessel

Phil Kessel is still a free agent with the regular season almost upon us. However, the three-time Stanley Cup champion certainly has a chance of finding a new home shortly, as he is a still a decent third-line winger who can likely be had at a very cheap price. Thus, let's go over two teams who could consider signing him.

Calgary Flames: The Calgary Flames were dealt bad injury news at training camp recently, as Jakob Pelletier will be out long term. Due to this, the Flames seem like a strong option for Kessel. He would be a nice replacement for Pelletier and provide the Flames with more secondary scoring in their bottom six.

St. Louis Blues: The St. Louis Blues could use a bit more scoring in their bottom six, so Kessel could make sense for them on a league-minimum deal. He would be a nice addition to their third line and provide them with another option for their power play. With the Blues looking to get back into the playoffs, adding to their depth with Kessel would not be a bad idea.
