2024 NHL Entry Draft Heading to the Las Vegas Sphere

The NHL has opened up their wallets as U2 has some company in Las Vegas. Turns out the league announced on Tuesday, the 2024 NHL Entry Draft will be hosted at The Sphere on the Vegas strip.

This will be the final draft before decentralizing where teams will operate from their own facilities, reports Darren Dreger of TSN.

The announcement was made at the NHL's board of governors meeting which is ongoing from Seattle. The NHL made the Sphere announcement just one day after confirming the salary cap is going up to well over $87 million for the 2024-25 season.

Look for more details to come over the next few days, but if you haven't seen what the Sphere is capable of, here's a video.

Can only imagine what kind of graphics and highlight videos will be shown inside and outside the Sphere.

Good job NHL, finally spending some money. And also, folks might want to give Matt Murley of Games Notes/Spittin Chiclets some credit today, he had this news back in June
