Hurricanes Rumors: Sharks Goalie Named Possible Trade Target

The Carolina Hurricanes have had some serious trouble in net this season, and the expectation is that they will add another goalie this season because of it. In a recent article for The Athletic, Jesse Granger wrote that San Jose Sharks goalie Kaapo Kahkonen could be a good fit for the Hurricanes.

Kahkonen has been picking up a lot of steam as a trade candidate over the last few weeks, and it is understandable given how poorly the San Jose Sharks have been playing. However, he has had a solid start to the season regardless of the play in front of him, and he may benefit playing for a much better Hurricanes team if traded there.

Kahkonen is expected to be one of the most popular goalie trade targets this deadline season, so the Hurricanes would likely have competition if they officially tried to land him. We will now need to wait and see if they end up making a real push for him during this season from here.
