Ducks Rumors: 6 Potential Landing Spots Named for Trevor Zegras

Anaheim Ducks star forward Trevor Zegras has been picking up a ton of steam in the rumor mill, as the Ducks are reportedly willing to hear offers for him. In a recent article for The Athletic, Shayna Goldman listed the Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, Washington Capitals, and Boston Bruins as teams who should be interested in Zegras.

The nice thing about a trade target like Zegras is he is still quite young, so both rebuilding teams and contenders can make a push for him. As a result, it makes sense that Goldman views the Habs, Flyers, and Blackhawks as young teams who could try to land him. As for teams like the Red Wings, Capitals, and Bruins, they would all benefit by adding him to their rosters before the postseason.

All six of these teams could use some help down the middle, so they all would certainly make sense as suitors for him. However, Zegras' ability to play the wing also makes him an appealing trade target for more reasons than one.

Zegras is currently sidelined with a broken ankle and is expected to miss six to eight weeks of action. Due to this, there is no guarantee a move will happen by the deadline, but there's no question that there will be questions about his future in Anaheim during the offseason if he stays put. We will need to wait and see what the Ducks end up doing from here, but these six clubs are worth watching in the sweepstakes.
