Kraken Call Up Top Prospect

One of the Seattle Kraken's most notable prospects is getting another shot in the show, as the club has called up defenseman Ryker Evans to their NHL roster.

Evans, 22, has appeared in nine games this season for the Kraken, where he has four assists to go along with a plus-2 rating. Down in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Coachella Valley Firebirds, the Calgary native has been off to a solid start, where he has two goals to go along with 12 points in 22 games.

However, Evans was dominant for the Firebirds last season during the playoffs, as he had an impressive five goals and 26 points in 26 postseason games. He was their star of the postseason, and now the Kraken are hoping that he can translate this kind of play over to the NHL during this latest call-up to their NHL roster.

Evans is an offensive defenseman who plays with a bit of an edge, so he has the potential to be a solid NHL player if he hits his full potential. It will be fun to see if he can make a big impact for the Kraken while he is with them. If he does, perhaps it could lead to him sticking around permanently with their NHL group.
