Kraken Rumors: Jordan Eberle Trade Chatter Picking Up

While the Seattle Kraken have been playing some excellent hockey as of late, they are still outside of the player picture. Due to this, winger Jordan Eberle has been discussed about a good amount in the rumor mill this season. Now, that chatter is only continuing, as The Fourth Period included the skilled forward on their 2024 trade board.

Eberle is on an expiring contract, and the Kraken would be wise to at least hear offers for him. This is because he has the potential to land them a pretty good return if officially shopped, as he is still an effective middle-six winger who works on the power play and has playoff experience. Thus, he could make for a big-time addition for a playoff team needing a boost on offense.

The Kraken could also look to at least try to extend Eberle before the deadline is here, as he has emerged as a key leader and one of their best forwards. However, if they begin extension talks and are too far apart by the time the trade deadline is around, they may have no choice but to move him.

In 34 games this season, Eberle has four goals to go along with 16 points. While his numbers are down this campaign, he also had 63 points just this past season, so he stands a good shot of heating up as the year continues.

We will need to wait and see how much of a trade market forms for Eberle over these next few months from here.
