NHL Rumors: Leafs & Blue Jackets Talking Player Swap?

Rob Ellis, and radio show "Real Kyper and Bourne", has recently made reports of trade discussions between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Columbus Blue Jackets.

At the heart of these rumors is a potential player swap that could see promising young forward Nick Robertson donning a Blue Jackets jersey while rugged winger Boone Jenner might find himself in the blue and white of the Leafs.

Nick Robertson, known for his scoring potential, has faced challenges securing a prominent spot in Toronto's lineup, sparking speculation that a change of scenery in Columbus could reinvigorate his career.

On the other hand, Boone Jenner, renowned for his leadership and gritty playing style, could add a different dimension to the Maple Leafs' roster, pending his return from a fractured jaw injury.

This trade has the potential to address the needs of both teams and reshape their respective rosters.

So far this season, the 30-year-old Jenner has recorded 13 goals and 18 total points across 29 games played.

The 22-year-old Robertson has five goals and 11 points over 24 games with the Leafs this season.
