NHL Rumors: Stars & Kraken Becoming Potential Trade Partners

The Dallas Stars are going to look to add a right-shot defenseman to their roster before the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline passes. They need to improve their top four on that side, and they are in a position to be big buyers, as they have Stanley Cup expectations for the postseason. As a result, they are a team that all fans should be keeping an eye on over these next few weeks.

The Seattle Kraken, on the other hand, are trying to get into the playoff picture, but they have some obstacles in their way due to their horrible start to the season. As a result, there are rumblings that they could decide to be sellers, and one name who been picking up some steam in the trade rumor mill is Adam Larsson. That is exactly the kind of d-man that the Stars should be targeting before the deadline passes.

Larsson would give the Stars a top-four right-shot defenseman who would become a primary penalty killer on their roster. As a result of this, he would be a massive addition to their group, an the Stars have the prospects and picks to pull off such a move if they wish to.

The Kraken do not need to force a Larsson trade during this season, as he is locked up under contract beyond this campaign. However, if they want to take advantage of his high trade value, now would be the time to at least listen to offers for him. If they do officially shop him, expect the Stars to be among the top suitors for him, as there could be a perfect match there between them.
