Sabres Rumors: Winger Becoming Trade Candidate

It has been a disastrous 2023-24 season for the Buffalo Sabres, and big changes at the trade deadline could be on the way. It is becoming clearer and clearer that they will be sellers this season, and one player to watch as we get closer to the trade deadline in trade talks in winger Jordan Greenway.

The Sabres acquired Greenway last season from the Minnesota Wild, but his future with the team is already looking a bit murky. This is because the Sabres are not only having a disappointing season, but they also have several young forwards who are ready to have bigger roles in their lineup. Because of this, moving on from Greenway is certainly a possibility for the Sabres.

Several playoff teams are expected to target Greenway, and it is understandable. He is a solid third-line forward who plays a very heavy game, which is something all playoff teams love to have during the most important time of the year.

In 28 games this season with the Sabres, Greenway has three goals to go along with 10 points. Overall, it has been a somewhat quiet season for the 6-foot-6 winger, but perhaps a change of scenery could be the boost he needs to heat up.

We will need to wait and see if the Sabres end up dealing him before the trade deadline passes from here.
