Senators Rumors: 3 Teams Expected to Target Vladimir Tarasenko

The Ottawa Senators have had a nightmare 2023-24 season, and changes could be on the way because of it. The Senators are among the worst teams in the NHL, and if they do not turn things around quickly, they are likely to be sellers at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. Because of this, one player who is starting to generate a lot of trade buzz is veteran winger Vladimir Tarasenko. He is a pending UFA who several teams would love to add to their forward group before the playoffs, so here are three specific teams who could target him.

New York Rangers: The New York Rangers added Tarasenko before the deadline passed last season, and they could very well do the same thing this time around. They would benefit from adding another top-six winger to their group, and Tarasenko would give them just that. With that, he would provide their power play with a boost, which would definitely not be a bad thing.

Washington Capitals: The Washington Capitals will be buyers if they continue to stay in the playoff race. Because of this, they are a team to watch with Tarasenko. They have been eyeing a top-six forward all season, and Tarasenko would certainly give them that if acquired.

Colorado Avalanche: The Colorado Avalanche could use more skill in their top six, so they also are a team to watch for Tarasenko. He could make real magic playing with a superstar center like Nathan MacKinnon, and he would be an obvious fit for their power play, too.
