Ducks Rumors: New Team Linked to Frank Vatrano

Anaheim Ducks All-Star forward Frank Vatrano is one of the top trade targets in the NHL as we get closer to the trade deadline. It is understandable, as he is having a career season, and the Ducks are in the middle of a rebuild. As a result, they are in a position to take advantage of his improved trade value.

Teams like the New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings, and New York Islanders have been linked to him over these last several weeks. However, it appears that a new team is now expressing interest in him, as The Fourth Period reported that the Colorado Avalanche are also linked to the skilled winger.

The Avalanche are going to be looking to add to their roster before the deadline passes. While adding a top-six center should be a priority, they also could use more scoring in their middle six, so bringing in a player like Vatrano would make sense for them.

Vatrano would be a nice addition to the Avalanche's second line if acquired, as he would give them more scoring and a bit more physicality along with it. He also would be an obvious choice for their power play because of his offense-first style of play.

The Avalanche have competition in the Vatrano sweepstakes, and it is understandable given his strong season. However, we will now need to wait and see if they end up being the club that lands him before the deadline passes from here.
