Important Details for 2025 NHL Winter Classic Revealed

We now have some important information regarding the 2025 NHL Winter Classic. According to the Chicago Sun Times' Ben Pope, the Chicago Blackhawks will be hosting the St. Louis Blues at Wrigley Field at next year's top outdoor event.

Hearing that the Blackhawks are getting another outdoor game is not particularly surprising. Although they are currently the worst team in the league, they are an immensely popular Original Six club that also has a superstar rookie in Connor Bedard. Because of this, the Blackhawks have the potential to bring in serious viewers, especially with this being Bedard's first Winter Classic.

Picking the Blues as the Blackhawks' opponent also makes sense. The Blackhawks and Blues have a big rivalry, so it is understandable that they will be facing off against each other yet again outdoors. They previously faced off against each other at the 2017 Winter Classic at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The Blues won the contest by a 4-1 final score.

This will be the seventh time that the Blackhawks will play an outdoor game. In those games, they have lost five out of six of them. As for the Blues, they are undefeated in their two outdoor games. It will be fun to see if they can keep this streak going against the Bedard and the Blackhawks at next year's Winter Classic from here.
