NHL Rumors: Blackhawks & Flyers Becoming Possible Trade Partners

The Chicago Blackhawks are expected to be sellers at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. It is understandable, as they are among the worst teams in the entire NHL, and they are currently in the middle of a rebuild. However, they also could be open to adding players to their roster if they could be impactful for their group beyond this season.

The Philadelphia Flyers, on the other hand, are currently having a good season, but they are still going to be sellers, as they are rebuilding, too. As a result of this, Morgan Frost has been picking up a lot of steam as a trade candidate, and he is a player who the Blackhawks could have on their radar.

It is not a secret that the Blackhawks need to add some forwards to help support top rookie Connor Bedard once he is ready to return to the lineup. Bringing a skilled forward like Frost has the potential to do that, as he has shown over the last two seasons that he can produce well offensively.

In 39 games this season with the Flyers, Frost has seven goals to go along with 22 points. Overall, it has been another solid season for the former first-round pick, as he also had 19 goals and 46 points just last season.

With the Blackhawks needing more scoring and Frost just entering his prime, there could be a good match here between the team and the player. Let's see if the Blackhawks and Flyers strike a deal centering around Frost from here.
