Sharks Rumors: Kings Forward On Team's Radar

The San Jose Sharks will be one of the top sellers at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. This is entirely understandable, as they are in the middle of a rebuild and are currently one of the worst teams in the entire NHL.

Yet, while this is the case, they should not be afraid to add to their roster if it results in them bringing in a potential player who would stay with them for multiple seasons. One player who would have the potential to do just that is Los Angeles Kings winger Arthur Kaliyev.

It has been reported that the Kings are willing to listen to offers for Kaliyev, as he has not been a good fit in their bottom six. Although this is the case, he still has an immense amount of potential, and he is the perfect kind of player for a rebuilding club like the Sharks to take a swing on.

Kaliyev has appeared in 38 games this season with the Kings, where he has six goals to go along with 14 points. While he has not been lightning up the league this season, he also had 28 points in 56 games just last season. Perhaps a change of scenery could give him the spark to get his offense back up, especially if he is getting top-six minutes on a club like San Jose.

We will need to wait and see if the Sharks end up being the team that acquires Kaliyev before the deadline passes from here.
