Wild Rumors: Insider Lists 4 Possible Suitors for Marc-Andre Fleury

It has been a very disappointing season for the Minnesota Wild. Because of this, the general expectation is that they will be sellers at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. One specific player who fans will be keeping an eye on is future Hall of Fame goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury.

While Fleury is more of a backup netminder at this juncture of his career, he certainly could be a valuable addition for contenders looking to add an experienced netminder to their roster. According to The Athletic's Michael Russo, four teams who could be potential options for Fleury include the Colorado Avalanche, New Jersey Devils, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Carolina Hurricanes.

The Avalanche have been viewed as a strong potential landing spot for Fleury multiple times this season. It is because they desperately need a backup goaltender, and GM Chris MacFarland confirmed that it's an area that they are actively looking to improve.

The Devils could use a veteran like Fleury to help them, as their goaltending has been a weak point this season. As for the Maple Leafs and Hurricanes, adding a goalie should be on the agenda for them, as they have had moments of inconsistency this season as well.

Fleury will make the ultimate decision on whether he will be moved or not because of his full no-movement. Yet, with Minnesota being out of the playoff race, it is possible that he would be open to joining a legitimate contender. Let's see what happens with the three-time Stanley Cup champion from here.
