Boston Bruins' 3 Best Contracts of 2023-24

The Boston Bruins have once again surprised the league after losing a number of players and still staying at the top of the standings. This is done because of many players outperforming their contracts, but there are three players in particular that will be highlighted as having the best contracts on the team.

Brad Marchand

Brad Marchand has had a good contract his entire career and this season is no different just because he won't end up finishing with over a point-per-game. How the captain plays is still very impressive as he logs the second most ice time among forwards behind David Pastrnak and has scored 27 goals and 63 points in 75 games. Marchand is still a dynamic player and the Bruins have him for another year at $6.125 million AAV.

Jeremy Swayman

The Bruins' goalie of the future is already here and playing great. The team was only able to sign him for one year off his entry-level deal, but he has proven that his time in the NHL thus far has not been a fluke. The 25-year-old has 24 wins in 41 games and a .916 SV% while mostly taking over the role of starter or 1A. He is one of the top goalies in the league this season at $3.475 million AAV.

Morgan Geekie

The Bruins took a chance on Morgan Geekie for cheap this season to hopefully fill a hole. He has filled that hole and more as the 25-year-old has 16 goals and 37 points this season while having a cap hit of just $2 million AAV. This contract runs through next season and he can play anywhere in the lineup, even the top-six where he has spent some time and contributed.
