Kraken Recall Top Prospect Shane Wright

The Seattle Kraken have made a notable roster move, as they have recalled top prospect Shane Wright from the Coachella Valley Firebirds.
Wright, 20, has appeared in three games for the Kraken this season, where he has zero points and a minus-1 rating. Down in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Firebirds, he has shown great promise, posting 20 goals and 43 points in 56 games. Now, he will look to translate over some of that kind of offense to the NHL level during this latest call-up.

With the Kraken being out of the playoff race, they are in a good position to take a look at Wright again. Pressure at this juncture of the season is quite low for the Kraken due to their low placement in the standings. Along with that, they have won only two out of their last 10 games, so their lineup could use some adjustments.

Wright was selected by the Kraken with the fourth overall pick of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. The expectation is that he will become a high-impact forward at the NHL level and be a long-term part of the Kraken's core. Let's see how the youngster performs during this latest recall from here.
