Bruins Rumors: 3 Offseason Suitors for James van Riemsdyk

After an underwhelming season with the Philadelphia Flyers last campaign, James van Riemsdyk has had a nice bounce-back season with the Boston Bruins. Because of this, it is quite likely that he will receive plenty of interest in free agency if he hits the market. Let's discuss three specific clubs who could look to sign him because of it.

New Jersey Devils: The New Jersey Devils could look to add to their middle six this offseason. It has been a tough year in New Jersey, and bringing in a solid veteran forward like van Riemsdyk could be worthwhile. He would fit nicely on their third line and work nicely on their power play as well.

New York Islanders: The New York Islanders could be in the market for scoring help this offseason. Because of this, they could look to sign a veteran like JVR. This is especially so if they can get him for an affordable price like Boston did just this past offseason.

Washington Capitals: The Washington Capitals certainly could use more help in their top nine. Bringing in a solid secondary scorer like van Riemsdyk would provide them just that. With that, there is a chance that he could be interested in the idea of joining the Caps, as his brother, Trevor van Riemsdyk, plays there.
