Flyers Trade Wade Allison to Predators

The Philadelphia Flyers have traded forward Wade Allison to the Nashville Predators in exchange for forward Denis Gurianov.

Allison, 26, has spent the entirety of this season in the AHL with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, posting 10 goals to go along with 17 points in 44 penalty minutes. During last season with the Flyers, he played in 60 games, he had nine goals to go along with 15 points.

This move could open the door to Allison playing at the NHL level again, as the Predators have spots available in their bottom six to fight for. At worst, he will provide the Predators with a gritty depth forward who can contribute a bit offensively in the process when playing at his best.

As for Gurianov, he is an interesting addition for the Flyers. The 2015 first-round pick has struggled while in the NHL this season, as he has one goal and one assist in 14 games. However, perhaps a change of scenery could help him get his offense.

We will need to wait and see how well these two perform with their new clubs from here.
