Kraken Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2024 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this latest edition of the series, we will be looking at the Seattle Kraken. After a bit of a disappointing season, they should be looking to add this summer.

Jake Guentzel: The Kraken need a star sniper on their roster, so they certainly could be in the mix for Jake Guentzel's services if he hits the free-agent market. He would work wonderfully on their first line and give Matty Beniers a true star to work with.

David Perron: The Kraken would benefit by adding an impactful veteran winger like David Perron. He would not only give them a bit more secondary scoring but also leadership and grit. With the Kraken looking to get back into the playoffs, he is the kind of pending UFA who they should be looking at.

Jalen Chatfield: The Kraken need to improve the right side of their defense this offseason. Because of this, one player who they should be eyeing is Jalen Chatfield. The 27-year-old would work nicely on their bottom pairing, as he is steady defensively and also chips in offensively.
