Penguins Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2024 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this latest edition of the series, we will be looking at the Pittsburgh Penguins. With the Pens having a very disappointing season, they are expected to be busy this summer.

Jake DeBrusk: The Penguins are going to look to improve at the left wing position after trading Jake Guentzel at the deadline. Because of this, one player who could end up being on their radar this summer is Jake DeBrusk. He would give their top six a boost, as he is a solid goal scorer when performing at his highest level.

Alexandre Carrier: The Penguins are likely going to look to add a right-shot defenseman for their bottom pairing this offseason. Alexandre Carrier would be a good pickup for them, as he would offer them a bit more depth and shouldn't be too expensive.

Nicolas Aube-Kubel: The Penguins' bottom six could use a bit more bite, so one player who could make sense for them is Nicolas Aube-Kubel. He is having a decent season with the Washington Capitals and would have the potential to give them a bit more production in the bottom half of their lineup.
