Stars Rumors: Ducks' Frank Vatrano On Team's Radar

The Dallas Stars made a big splash last week when they acquired defenseman Chris Tanev from the Calgary Flames. This was a much-needed move for the Stars, as the right side of their defensive group needed a boost, and now they have gotten just that by adding him.

However, the Stars are unlikely to be done yet, as there have been plenty of rumblings that they are also hoping to add a scoring winger to their roster before the deadline passes. Because of this, they are now one of the several teams in the mix for Anaheim Ducks forward Frank Vatrano.

Vatrano would be a big addition for the Stars, as he would fit nicely in their top six due to his high scoring ability. Along with that, he would give them another quality option for their power play, so he would be a welcomed addition for more reasons than one.

While Vatrano is mostly discussed because of his offensive contributions, he also is a physical player who is never afraid to block shots. As a result, he has a solid, well-rounded game, and he could be a great fit in the Stars' lineup because of it.

However, the Stars have a lot of competition to successfully land Vatrano, as the New York Rangers, Colorado Avalanche, Detroit Red Wings, and New York Islanders have also all been connected to him. We will need to wait and see if Dallas ends up being the lucky team that lands him before the deadline passes from here.
