3 Best Contracts On The Philadelphia Flyers

The Philadelphia Flyers stayed in the playoffs race the entire season, but things have just fallen apart and they will very likely not be qualifying. Despite that and the expectation to rebuild coming into the season, there are some really good contracts on the team that definitely helped with the success. Let's take a look at the three best on the Flyers this season.

Travis Konecny

Travis Konecny has been one of, if not the top player on the Flyers for a number of seasons now. He is consistent in that he will score goals, produce a lot of offense, and play hard. There is a reason why he plays a ton for John Tortorella and leads the team in goals (31) and points (65) in 73 games. The Flyers still have him for another year at $5.5 million AAV and he is going to get a lot more on his next deal.

Cam York

Cam York signed a bridge deal and is already greatly outplaying that contract this season. He is in the first of a two-year, $1.6 million AAV deal and is a top pairing defenseman on the team. York just turned 23 this year and is already showing signs of being an elite defenseman for years. He played 22:30 minutes per game and has nine goals and 29 points on the season. He is only going to get better rapidly as well.

Owen Tippett

Owen Tippett really broke out with the Flyers last season and has improved upon that this season. After showing what kind of player he could be over a longer period of time, the Flyers decided to sign him long-term starting next season. But for the 2023-24 season, Philadelphia has a great young talent at just $1.5 million AAV. He is already worth his next contract at $6.2 million AAV and has 28 goals and 52 points this season as a top-six player.
