Hurricanes Rumors: 3 Offseason Suitors for Jordan Martinook

Carolina Hurricanes forward Jordan Martinook should get a lot of attention in free agency if the club does not re-sign him. This is because he is a hard-nosed bottom-six forward who contributes offensively and is known for playing a steady defensive game. Let's discuss three teams who could look to sign him if he hits free agency now.

Buffalo Sabres: The Buffalo Sabres are going to make some moves this offseason after missing the postseason yet again this campaign. Bringing in a veteran forward who is known for their leadership and solid two-way play like Martinook could be quite beneficial for them. He would give their top nine a nice boost because of it.

Nashville Predators: The Nashville Predators have had a very good season, and they are likely to do some spending this offseason because of it. It is clear that one area that they should look to improve is their bottom six, and adding a player like Martinook to their group would do just that.

Washington Capitals: The Washington Capitals love to add hard-nosed forwards to their roster, so they are a team to watch if Martinook ends up hitting the market. He would give their bottom six a bit more secondary production and also give them another strong option for their penalty kill if signed.
