Lightning Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Summer

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2024 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this latest edition of the series, we will be looking at the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Tyson Barrie: The 2023-24 season was a rough one for Tyson Barrie. He simply has not fit in well with the Nashville Predators, and there is no question that he will look for a change of scenery this offseason. Perhaps joining a strong team like the Lightning could help the offensive defender regain his old form.

Martin Jones: Adding an affordable backup goalie this offseason should be on the Lightning's agenda. A goalie like Martin Jones could make sense for them, as he would be an upgrade over their current depth goalies in  Jonas Johansson and Matt Tomkins.

Pat Maroon: The Lightning could consider bringing back Pat Maroon this offseason at a cheap price. They have missed his toughness and leadership in their lineup this campaign. He would give their bottom six a boost if brought back.
