NHL Rumors: Ducks Looking to Make Big Splashes

The Anaheim Ducks had another rough 2023-24 season, but that was expected. The Ducks are in the middle of a rebuild, and their young players are still developing their games. While this is the case, Ducks GM Pat Verbeek is looking to make some significant additions to their roster this offseason.

As reported by the Ducks' official X account, Verbeek wants to bring in a top-six right-shot forward and a top-four right-shot defenseman this offseason.

Free agency offers some strong options for both of these needs. When it comes to free-agent forwards, some notable names include Sam Reinhart, Jonathan Marchessault, Tyler Toffoli, Elias Lindholm, and Steven Stamkos.

There are also some wonderful top-four right-shot defenseman who could end up hitting the free-agent market during the summer. Some of the top names include Brandon Montour, Brett Pesce, Dylan DeMelo, and Matt Roy.

The Ducks are in a real position to make some big additions to their roster this offseason, as they have a ton of cap space to work with. It will be interesting to see what kind of moves they end up making once the offseason is officially here.
