NHL Rumors: Wild & Capitals Emerging as Potential Trade Partners

The Minnesota Wild are entering the offseason with the expectation of making some changes. After missing the playoffs, it is clear that they would benefit from some adjustments. One player who the Wild are reportedly willing to hear offers for is young forward Marco Rossi.

Rossi will generate a ton of interest this summer, as he had a breakout season in 2023-24 and is viewed as having a lot of potential. The Washington Capitals desperately need help down the middle, so there is an expectation that they will be in the mix for his services this offseason.

Rossi would be a significant addition to the Capitals' lineup if acquired. He would be a clear fit in their top six and would also give their power play a nice boost. Along with that, when noting that he is only 22 years old, he still has plenty of time to improve his game even further.

When looking at a possible spot in the Capitals' lineup for Rossi, he could work very nicely on their top line with Alex Ovechkin and Sonny Milano as his wingers. In addition, he would improve their power play because of his offensive skills.

We will now need to wait and see if the Capitals and Wild strike a deal centering around Rossi this summer from here.
