3 Potential Free-Agent Destinations for Jake Guentzel

The general expectation at this juncture is that Jake Guentzel will find a new home this summer. The Carolina Hurricanes are shopping his signing rights, and there is no question that he will generate a ton of interest, as he is a star. Let's go over three teams who could look to sign him now.

Chicago Blackhawks: There has been a lot of buzz over the prospect of the Chicago Blackhawks going after Guentzel this offseason. With Connor Bedard needing help around him and the Blackhawks having a lot of cap space, they are in a prime position to make a big offer for him.

Vancouver Canucks: The Vancouver Canucks were heavily linked to Guentzel leading up to the deadline, and this could carry over to the summer. This is especially so if they lose free agents like Elias Lindholm, Dakota Joshua, and/or Teddy Blueger. Guentzel would be a massive addition to their top six and give them another star winger if signed.

Boston Bruins: The Boston Bruins are entering the summer with a lot of cap space and are in a position to make at least one big splash because of it. With the club looking to add a top-six winger, Guentzel surely could grab their attention, as he is one of the top players who could be available.
