Quick, 39, has appeared in 21 games this season with the Rangers, where he has a 9-6-2 record, a .896 save percentage, and a 3.14 goals-against average. This is after he had an 18-6-2 record, a .911 save percentage, and a 2.62 goals-against average in 27 games with the Rangers this past season.
With this contract extension, Quick is set to play in his 19th NHL season. The veteran goaltender has had an incredible career, but he is not ready to hang up the skates yet and will be sticking around with the Rangers because of it.
With this move, Quick will continue to be the Rangers' backup goaltender behind star netminder Igor Shesterkin. He will also remain a key veteran in their room as they aim to get things back on track.
In 801 career NHL games split between the Los Angeles Kings, Vegas Golden Knights, and Rangers, Quick has a 402-289-88 record, a .911 save percentage, and a 2.49 goals-against average. He is also a three-time Stanley Cup champion, one-time Conn Smythe Trophy winner, and two-time William M. Jennings Trophy winner.
