NHL Rumors: 3 San Jose Sharks Trade Candidates For 2025 Offseason

Timothy Liljegren, San Jose Sharks

The San Jose Sharks will be a team to watch very closely during the 2025 NHL offseason. They are still rebuilding their roster, and there is certainly a chance that we could see some of their players traded during the offseason because of this.

Due to this, let's go over three Sharks who could be traded this summer.

Mario Ferraro

Ferraro has been in the rumor mill for quite some time, and this should only continue when noting that he is now entering the final season of his contract. If the Sharks do not view him as a long-term part of their plans, he could be a valuable trade chip for them to shop this summer. Teams would love to add him to their top four and penalty kill, so he could generate plenty of interest.

Timothy Liljegren

Liljegren is another Sharks defenseman who could generate some interest this offseason. Like Ferraro, he is entering the final season of his contract in 2025-26 and can become an unrestricted free agent once his deal expires. The 26-year-old could be a nice addition for a team looking improve the right side of their defense.

Thomas Bordeleau

Bordeleau is a young forward who could use a fresh start. The 23-year-old played in just one game for the Sharks this season and spent the rest of the season in the AHL. The 2020 second-round pick still has decent upside, and a change of scenery could do him justice.
