Red Wings Rumors: 3 Potential Trade Destinations For Vladimir Tarasenko

Vladimir Tarasenko, Detroit Red Wings

Vladimir Tarasenko struggled to find his fit during his first season with the Detroit Red Wings. In 80 games this season with the Original Six club, he posted 11 goals, 33 points, and a minus-12 rating. Due to this, he found himself in the rumor mill leading up to the 2025 NHL trade deadline, but ended up staying put.

However, the Red Wings are expected to listen to offers for Tarasenko again this summer. Let's look at three teams who could look to acquire him.

Columbus Blue Jackets

The Blue Jackets could use a skilled veteran forward in their middle six, and bringing in a player like Tarasenko would give them just that. If he bounced back, he would give the Blue Jackets nice secondary scoring. Furthermore, they also have plenty of cap space to work with, and he would give them a two-time Stanley Cup champion as they look to take that next step.

Florida Panthers

A reunion between Tarasenko and the Panthers could make a lot of sense. They were connected to him leading up to the deadline, and they could be on the hunt for forward help this summer if they lose any of their pending unrestricted free agents. It's also likely that Tarasenko would love the chance to be a Panther again, as he fit in nicely there last season.

Washington Capitals

The Capitals could be a team to watch if Tarasenko is made available this summer. When looking at their roster, it is fair to argue that they could use another winger in their top nine, and Tarasenko could give them that. In addition, he would provide the Caps with another solid weapon for their power play.
