NHL Rumors: 3 Seattle Kraken Trade Candidates For 2025 Offseason

The Seattle Kraken could be a team to watch very closely this summer. After missing the playoffs yet again this year, it is likely that they will be switching up their group this offseason.

Because of this, let's go over three Kraken trade candidates who could find new homes this offseason.

Jared McCann

McCann should generate a lot of interest this summer. The Kraken forward was a popular target leading up to the 2025 NHL trade deadline, and it would not be shocking if teams continued to call Seattle about him during the offseason. He is an impactful forward who produces strong offense, kills penalties, and can play both down the middle and on the wing. Thus, expect him to have a large market this summer.

Jaden Schwartz

Schwartz is another Kraken forward who should be watched this summer. He is entering the final season of his contract in 2025-26, and Seattle could look to move him if they do not view him as a long-term part of their future. The one-time Stanley Cup winner would be a great pickup for a team looking for more secondary offensive production in their middle six.

Jamie Oleksiak

Oleksiak created some chatter in the rumor mill nearing the deadline, and this could carry over to the summer. The 6-foot-7 defenseman would be a nice pickup for a team looking for more size and physicality on their blueline. Furthermore, he also can handle playing top-four minutes and kills penalties, which adds to his appeal.
