NHL Rumors: 3 New York Rangers Trade Candidates For 2025 Offseason

Chris Kreider, New York Rangers

It was an extremely disappointing season for the New York Rangers, and roster changes are expected to be on the way because of it. Due to this, let's look at three Rangers players who could end up being traded this offseason now.

Chris Kreider

Kreider was a big name in the rumor mill throughout the 2024-25 season, but a deal did not come to fruition. However, the Rangers are expected to shop him again this summer, and he should generate interest from clubs looking for size and scoring in their top six.

K'Andre Miller

Miller could use a change of scenery, and he very well could get one this summer. The left-shot defenseman has been generating plenty of chatter in the rumor mill, and the Rangers are reportedly listening to offers for him. Teams needing help in their top four on the left side could target him this summer.

Alexis Lafreniere

Lafreniere could be a Ranger to keep an eye on this summer as well. The 23-year-old winger could be a valuable trade chip for the Rangers to dangle to bring in another big-name talent. The 2020 first-overall pick also took a step in the wrong direction this season, posting 17 goals and 45 points in 82 games. Perhaps a fresh start elsewhere could help him hit that next level.
