NHL Rumors: 3 Potential Trade Destinations For Avalanche's Charlie Coyle
At the 2025 NHL trade deadline, the Colorado Avalanche acquired Charlie Coyle from the Boston. Now, the veteran forward is right back in the rumor mill with the summer here, and there is a possibility that he will find a new home this offseason because of it.
Due to this, let's look at three teams who could try to acquire Coyle this offseason now.
New Jersey Devils
The Devils desperately need to improve their third-line center spot, and Coyle would provide them with just that. Coyle would be a clear upgrade over Erik Haula for the 3C spot and would also give them another player who works on both the power play and penalty kill. Due to this, the Devils could be a team to watch when it comes to Coyle.
Toronto Maple Leafs
The Maple Leafs will be aiming to improve down the middle, so Coyle could end up grabbing their attention. When looking at their roster, Coyle could be an excellent addition to their third-line center spot. He also has plenty of playoff experience, which could be appealing to the Maple Leafs.
Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks are expected to be aggressive this offseason as they look to take that next step. They are already close to acquiring Chris Kreider from the New York Rangers, and a player like Coyle could also be a strong addition to their roster. He would fit nicely in their top nine and also give them a good veteran to help mentor their younger players.
