'Significant Interest', But Teams Weighing A Big Decision on Trade Candidate K'Andre Miller
He's one of the biggest names (in more ways than one) circulating around NHL executives at the Scouting Combine in Buffalo this week. There is 'significant interest' in New York Rangers' restricted free agent K'Andre Miller, reports Elite Prospects' Cam Robinson.
One player whose name keeps popping up at the Combine is K'Andre Miller.

I'm told the Rangers have let teams know he's available, but clubs are weighing that option versus the Offer Sheet route.
Appears to be significant interest in the 25-year-old.
Robinson tells us that Miller's name keeps popping up, as executives from all 32 NHL teams are gathering, and talking, as trade talks are heating up.
But as an RFA with arbitration rights, interested teams are weighing an important decision on how to approach Miller: Do they deal with the Rangers and try to arrange for a trade, or do they simply try to sign him to an Offer Sheet, and prepare to surrender a first- and a third-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft?
How much would a K'Andre Miller Offer Sheet cost a team?
With the new offer sheet compensation thresholds, any offer ranging from a $4.68 million AAV to a $7.02 million AAV requires a 1st and a 3rd going back to the RFA's former team. Miller is coming off a two-year bridge deal at $3.872 million AAV. His qualifying offer is set for $4.646 million, so any offer sheet will obviously have to come in above that. AFP Analytics projects his next contract, if a long-term deal, to come in at $6.033 million over six years.
At 6'5", 210 pounds, Miller is a promising D-man, with long strides, offensive upside as a playmaker, and, obviously, an imposing presence. His physicality took a bit of a dip this season, as he delivered only 107 hits in 74 games, after averaging well over 150 hits the previous three seasons.
Several teams are said to be in pursuit, including the Seattle Kraken, LA Kings and Detroit Red Wings, each of whom has about $21 million in cap space this summer, and they all have the required draft picks in the case of an Offer Sheet.
