The Buffalo Sabres are certainly a team to keep an eye on for the remainder of this off-season. Several of their players have come up in the rumor mill as trade candidates, so let's look at three of their players who could be on the move before the 2025-26 season begins.

Bowen Byram

Although Byram recently signed a two-year, $12.5 million contract with the Sabres, his name is still floating around the rumor mill often. This is especially so when noting that he will be eligible to become an unrestricted free agent (UFA) once his new two-year contract is up. With the left side of the Sabres' blueline being crowded, Byram could be used in a trade to bring the Sabres' a much-needed top-six winger.

Mattias Samuelsson

Samuelsson is another notable Sabre who has been talked about often in the rumor mill this off-season. The expectation is that the Sabres are willing to move him if there are any takers out there, but his expensive contract and injury trouble could make a trade difficult to pull off. However, with Samuelsson being only 25 and capable of playing both sides, there could be a team out there willing to take a chance on him.
