The deal kicks in next season (2026-27), as Wolf wraps up his entry-level deal this year.
Wolf established himself as one of the top netminders in the league last season in his first full year with the Flames, going 29-16-8 with three shutouts, a .910 save percentage and 2.64 goals against average.

It's a mostly unprecedented contract for a goaltender with Wolf's #NHL experience (71 GP), surpassing deals for Igor Shesterkin and others in total $ and AAV.
As noted by insider Frank Seravalli, it's the largest deal for a goalie with as little NHL experience as Wolf, who has played just 71 games between the pipes for the Flames.
Wolf has shown his pedigree at every stop on his way up the chain, winning the CHL Goaltender of the Year Award in 2019-20 after being drafted by Calgary in the 2019 NHL Draft (7th round). In three seasons in the AHL he consistently posted save percentages well above the .920 mark.
He won AHL Goalie of the Year in 2022 and 2023, as well as the MVP of that league in '23. Wolf was the Calder Trophy runner-up with the Flames last season as well as finishing 8th in the balloting for the Vezina.
