Nashville Predators: Best Addition & Worst Subtraction Of 2025 NHL Offseason

Colton Sissons, Nashville Predators

The NHL season is just about here, which is undoubtedly exciting news for hockey fans. Due to this, we here at NHL Trade Rumors will be starting a series looking at each team's best addition and worst subtraction of the 2025 NHL off-season.

In this latest edition of the series, we will be taking a look at the Nashville Predators.

Best Addition: Nicolas Hague

One of the Predators' biggest objectives of the summer was to improve their blueline. They did just that when they acquired Nicolas Hague from the Vegas Golden Knights and then signed him to a four-year, $22 million contract. With this move, Hague is now expected to be an important part of the Predators' top four and penalty kill moving forward.

Worst Subtraction: Colton Sissons

The Predators included in the deal to acquire Hague, and he is a player who they miss from their forward group. The 31-year-old was a nice part of the Predators' roster for 11 seasons before being traded to Vegas, as he was a solid two-way forward who provided a bit of everything. He should now be a key part of the Golden Knights' bottom six as they look to continue to be one of the NHL's best teams.
