Craig Smith remains an unrestricted free agent (UFA) with September now here. Yet, when noting that he has plenty of experience and can still work in a bottom-six role, it is certainly possible that a team out there could consider signing him to at least a professional tryout (PTO).

A reunion with Nashville could make sense for Smith. When looking at their current roster, it is fair to argue that they could use a bit more forward depth.
