Boston Bruins: Best Addition & Worst Subtraction Of 2025 NHL Offseason
The NHL season is just about here, which is undoubtedly exciting news for hockey fans. Due to this, we here at NHL Trade Rumors will be starting a series looking at each team's best addition and worst subtraction of the 2025 NHL off-season.
In this latest edition of the series, let's take a look at the Boston Bruins.
Best Addition: Viktor Arvidsson
The Bruins brought in multiple players this offseason, but Viktor Arvidsson is the most notable. The Original Six club acquired the veteran winger from the Edmonton Oilers over the summer, and they are hoping that he can provide them with some much-needed offense in their middle six. Given his resume, the potential of him doing so is certainly there.
Worst Subtraction: Cole Koepke
The Bruins did not have any major subtractions during the summer, but they did lose a decent bottom-six forward in Cole Koepke. Koepke signed a one-year contract with the Winnipeg Jets in free agency after his solid 2024-25 season with Boston. In 73 games with the Bruins this past campaign, he set new career highs with 10 goals, seven assists, and 17 points.
