Canadiens Guhle To Miss Extended Time With Injury
#GoHabsGo say defenseman Kaiden Guhle will miss 4-6 weeks with a lower-body injury.

Guhle played just 16 minutes in the Canadiens' fifth game of the season, a 3-2 overtime win against the Nashville Predators. He has logged at least 20 minutes in three of the five games and is an important top-4 piece for Montreal.
The fourth-year defenseman has a goal and an assist to go along with 16 hits already this season. Guhle's defense partner has been Lane Hutson and the team has outscored opponents at 5-on-5 with the two on the ice together by a score of 4-2.
It is a big loss for the Canadiens, but an opportunity for Jayden Struble to get regular playing time for a while. He has pulled into the lineup after playing just one game so far this season, and will line up on the third pairing with Alexandre Carrier. The expectation is that Arber Xhekaj will move up to the top-4 to play alongside Hutson in the meantime, which makes sense considering the offensive and defensive compatibility.
Guhle hasn't found it easy to stay healthy over the course of a season, playing 44 games as a rookie, 70 as a sophomore, and 55 last season. The hope is that this is the last time Guhle misses significant time for the Canadiens, as he is a much-needed piece in the lineup every day as the team fights to return to the playoffs.
