Los Angeles Kings Making Trade Offers

The Los Angeles Kings are in the market for a top-six forward, and rumor has it general manager Ken Holland has been working the phones.

Trade talks have picked up significantly around the league as we creep closer to the milestone American Thanksgiving weekend. The Kings are off to a strong start this season, posting a 5-4-4 record through their first 13 games.

Holland has $3.2 million in cap space to work with, and he's well aware that Anze Kopitar's $7 million is coming off the books this summer once the long-time captain retires. The Kings are going for it in Kopitar's last season and are looking to add on the wing for their top six. Holland has both his first and second-rounders in 2026 to dangle, as well as two third-rounders.

The Fourth Period: "The Kings are looking to add extra firepower up front, especially within their top-six"; "If the Kings part with someone off the roster, left wing Trevor Moore may be a potential candidate"

Moore, 30, has two seasons left on his contract at $4.2 million AAV, and does not hold any trade protection. He's scored three goals and one assist in his first 12 games this season, and has been bounced down the lineup this season for the Kings.

As far as trade targets go, Owen Tippett of the Philadelphia Flyers is reportedly available, and could fit in perfectly to complement the Kings' need for secondary scoring. There's also Alex Tuch of the Buffalo Sabres, who has been rumored to be available, and someone the Kings have targetted before.

Keep an eye on the Kings, they'll be busy very soon, and could make a significant trade within the next three weeks.
