NHL Rumors: 3 Calgary Flames Trade Candidates To Watch

Rasmus Andersson, Calgary Flames

It has been a nightmare start to the season for the Calgary Flames, as their 4-10-2 record effectively shows. Due to this, there is already a clear expectation that they will be sellers this season.

Because of this, let's take a look at three Flames trade candidates who could be on the move this season.

Nazem Kadri

Kadri has been a very popular name in the rumor mill early on this season. The 35-year-old center would be a major pickup for playoff teams looking to improve down the middle, so there should be a ton of interest in him as the season rolls on. A few teams to watch in the Kadri sweepstakes include the Montreal Canadiens, Vancouver Canucks, and Detroit Red Wings.

Rasmus Andersson

Like Kadri, Andersson has been discussed often as a trade candidate this season. The right-shot defenseman is a pending unrestricted free agent (UFA) and should be a big trade chip for the Flames once we get closer to the deadline. Teams looking for help on the right side of their blueline should be calling about Andersson this season. A few potential suitors include the Vegas Golden Knights, Dallas Stars, and Carolina Hurricanes.

Blake Coleman

Coleman has been starting to create some buzz as a trade candidate, and it is understandable. The 33-year-old forward is exactly the kind of player contenders love, as he provides a bit of everything. He has also won the Stanley Cup twice in his career, which adds to his appeal.
