NHL Rumors: 3 San Jose Sharks Trade Candidates To Watch
The San Jose Sharks have shown signs of progress early on this season, as their 6-6-3 record shows. Yet, with the Sharks still in the middle of a rebuild, the expectation is that they will end up being sellers this season.
Due to this, let's look at three Sharks who could end up being on the move during this season.
Alexander Wennberg
Wennberg is a pending unrestricted free agent (UFA) who should grab the attention of playoff teams once we get closer to the deadline. He would be a nice addition for a contender looking to improve at their third-line center spot, as he is a solid veteran two-way forward.
Mario Ferraro
Ferraro has been in the rumor mill for quite some time, and that is only continuing now that he is a pending UFA. The left-shot defenseman should be a popular target for teams in need of help on their left side of their defense. This is especially so when noting that he can play big minutes and in all situations.
Timothy Liljegren
Liljegren is another Sharks pending UFA defenseman to watch very closely this season. He could be a good addition to a team looking for more depth on the right side of their blueline. In 12 games this season with the Sharks, he has recorded three assists and an even plus/minus rating.
