NHL Rumors: 3 Potential Trade Destinations For Sabres' Bowen Byram

Bowen Byram, Buffalo Sabres

Things are not going well for the Buffalo Sabres right now, as they have a 5-6-4 record and are at the bottom of the Atlantic Division standings. They have also been staying cold, as they have lost each of their last three games.

If the Sabres continue to struggle, changes could be on the way. If the Sabres do end up being sellers, Bowen Byram would be a prime trade candidate. Due to this, let's look at three teams who could target the left-shot defenseman if the Sabres shop him.

Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks have been connected to Byram in the past, and it is no secret that they like the player. Due to this, it would not be surprising at all if the Canucks ended up making a push for him this season. He would give their defense a nice boost if brought in.

Philadelphia Flyers

When looking at the Flyers' blueline, it is clear that they could use a boost on their left side. Acquiring a defenseman like Byram would provide them with just that. Furthermore, with Byram being only 24 years old, he could fit in very nicely on a young Flyers club looking to take that next step.

St. Louis Blues

It has been a disastrous season for the Blues, and it would be understandable if they looked to make some moves because of it. St. Louis was linked to Byram during the summer, and they certainly still could use a blueliner like him on their left side.
